Barred Owl Nests

I have been thrilled to watch a resident barred owl in the woods behind my house. My husband saw it first, two at one time one bigger than the other. Then I have seen a single owl several times since. It always sits on a tree branch near a very small "pond". It is such a beautiful and interesting bird the way it stares at me! I have wondered (and hoped!) if there is a nest around, but have not found one as of yet. I know the fact that he/she always stays in the same small area does not indicate that there may be a nest, instead it could just be his favorite hangout to catch large frogs and such, but has anybody had experience with barred owl nests and could you tell me what they look like, where to find them , etc?
