Amanda - thanks for going to the trouble to make your progress so clear! That was a clever solution. It gives me an idea for fixing a mess I have made... Your sphere turned out great. I sure want to see it lit up! I have not tried what you are talking about so this is just a guess but surely one of the zillion varieties of tubes of contractors' adhesive would work for your project. Is there any chance a "shelf" could be fashioned out of transparent plastic to hold the light strand rather than trying to glue each light separately?? maybe there is a way to clue or cement on clips you could wind each light around. hmmm. Once I tried taking fiberglass mesh and "weaving" wire thru it by making a sort of U shape with wire and pushing it through the weave of the fiberglass so the bottom was caught and secured by the mesh. When I concreted this down, the wire ends stood up and the mesh and concrete secured the bottom to the object I was making. This left the wires ready to do anything I wanted with them. That would be very simple and you could use your concrete to attach these wires anywhere you wnted along the edge of your sphere. The whole result would be invisible except for handy wires waiting to be used to hold your lights. Would this work for you? Laura

My thought when I saw this was first Sandra Elizabeth but the second thought was it may be Hyperion Elite by Klehm which is a dormant tet 36X 7 ext and noc and fragrant. Though a EM registered it goes off more Mid for me and is still going. As your daylily has been living in a pot rooted through the bottom into the ground it's hard to tell but my older Hyperion I don't think is branched quit the way the photo you posted up above, it's branched but differently. While I am zone 5 westcentral Illinois, my Hyperion finished it's last about a week ago and it has a habit of a bit of a weaker scape leaning until a few buds as gone off. My Sandra Elizabeth has not started yet, though close, she runs for me between 28 and 33ish in height here. This year with all my rain I think closer to 36". Pretty either one, enjoy.

April Save yourself some heartache and get that spooker up now. I have NEVER heard of and Bluebird or Tree Swallow that would not accept a spooker quickly. A friend of mine on the other forum just lost a Tree Swallow to hosps and she traps all the time. She barely takes her eyes off any of her boxes this time of year. Sounds similar to crepes Suzette but without the alcohol. If you Google Crepes Suzette, you may get a variiation with the apricot jam. QUICK CREPES SUZETTE 1/2 cup sweet butter, softened 1/4 cup sugar 2 tsp. grated orange peel 1/2 cup orange juice 1 tsp. lemon juice 10 to 12 cooked crepes 1/4 cup cointreau 2 Tbs. apricot or peach brandy Cream butter; gradually beat in sugar. Add orange peel, orange juice and lemon juice. Heat in skillet or chafing dish. Dip cooked crepes in mixture; fold or roll them and move to side of pan. Heat liquer and brandy in small pan. Pour over crepes; ignite with long match. Spoon sauce over crepes until flames die. Serve immediately. 5 or 6 servings.
