My husband took a photo of an American Kestrel this morning sitting on an electric line, but the quality is not there because it was 150' away. It sure does have a 'WOW' look about it. This is the bird on the center of the cover of my new bird book, Smithsonian HB of NA-ER.

That's a juvenile Hermit Warbler..these guys have a very limited US breeding distribution. Usually seen up high in conifers.

Invasive European Starlings are gobbling down your expensive suet, though-might want to take your feeders inside until they leave to find easier pickings
