Well, I posted diagrams with detailed information about how we use our kitchen, traffic patterns and the layout of the entire house. I posed specific questions and concerns. I gave family make-up, cooking habits, yada yada. All the things people usually ask for. I did everything recommended to get responses and I got one. One! Like the OP, I have been reading here for months and have been contributing for about two months so that I'm giving back as well. Hoped it would give me some goodwill. Nada. I was so excited to finally post my plan and couldn't wait to wake up this morning to start reading responses. My post is now one away from scrolling to page 2. I'm very disappointed. Will bump regularly for a few days and hope for something. Sorry to whine. I needed the vent.

Now that I have more time.. My old neighbor & his lady friend had trac fones. He either had me do the minutes on both phones or went to Radio Shack because it was the only place that would do it for him. The last time I put minutes on his cell phone; it was pretty involved. He had to purchase the card then scratch it off & reading the numbers on the scratch off were a pain; then having to enter it into the phone. We have verizon; I'm not sure what type of pay as you go phones they have but they're expensive to do it that way. Last time I looked it was $30 a month plus minutes charge. I know people that do other pay as you go; Boost; virgin mobile & they are cheaper; especially if she's not going to use it much. I have never seen the one "elderly" phone in person but the pictures look good. The problem she may have is learning to use the address book or having to see the numbers to enter them in. If she can see the numbers; she may not see the screen. My 46 year old eyes are starting to have problems lol One thing to consider would be a case that she can wear around her neck; get her into the habit of having it with her in case she ever falls getting the mail or where ever because my neighbor did fall going into his house; I don't know how he managed to get up & climb 6 steps to call 911. Of course he'd just brought his trac fone into the house & put it on the table; then went outside to finish unloading his car.

I apologize for the confusion. I was trying to post pictures and they weren't showing up. Finally they did. But I lost the original post. I have another post out here somewhere explaining what I need/want help with. I am moving. New home has med/dark cabinets, med/dark wood floors, lightish-med granite counters. Kitchen opens to family room. DR is behind FR and has large window and the kitchen has a slider, which is adjacent to DR window, so both rooms have to co-exist decorating wise. I love the greens/reds/yellows. The display you see is what I will keep on my bakers rack in kitchen on a wall you don't see from FR. I showed this display so you can see the colors I like. The true colors I love are the ones on the DR table runner. I showed the chairs so you can see the greens. I'd say my primary color is green, followed by the red with accents of yellow. I am looking all over for curtains/valances for windows and pillows. Or material to make my own. I was thinking of a ticking stripe in green for windows from Country Curtains, but not sure if that is dated. Any ideas? I have scoured the online fabric sources and nothing pops out at me. I am showing pictures so you can see the style I like. I am keeping my light furniture. Sectional will be a camel/oatmeal kind of color. Neutral and mid colored. Any ideas? Thank you.
