temps cold, worried about eggs

Hiyah,

Here in NW Georgia, the temperatures for the last few days have dipped significantly. Yesterday the lows were in the 40's, high not about 60. This morning it's 44deg at 7:30am.

Mama's been incubating 5 eggs for 14 days as of today. she made me crazy yesterday because she left the box so often. I have been giving them calcium-dusted mealworms more often so she should not have to leave.

Is there a chance that the eggs won't hatch/embryos have died because of these cold and damp temps?? Daddy has come to feed her several times but she just can't seem to sit still. I can hear Daddy call and she usu. leaves the box right away.

Of course, this is the first morning I have to be out of the house and away from the video. They'll probably hatch while I'm gone. But even if they do, these temps just aren't good for chicks.

Worried in Acworth, NW Georgia, Linda...
