I too had to go with a net after losing two koi.. the floating aligator didnt work for me.. anyone know where I can get a clear net?? I would like to swap the black one out for clear as I think it would look better.. I hate having to net the pond at all but I dont like losing koi either.. I checked pondnets.com and they look to only have black and their nets are a bit pricey too..

Larry show the other photo.. We have Herons here in Pennsylvania in the summer. It is spunky hard to get a photo of it.. Tall an grey here .

I noticed the canals along Kings Highway in Port Charlotte were very low also but along the banks were lots of herons and egrets both large and smaller varieties hunting a meal. Also (and i had never seen one there before) i saw a rosetta spoonbill flying overhead as i drove near the Kings Hwy and Olean intersection...can't mistake one of them as there are not too many pink birds flying around.
