Mockingbird? At first I thought it was a carolina wren because of its stance......but not the right color, and a few other things. So my vote is for mockingbird.

You might hear him singing in the middle of the night. They do that! (maybe not in winter, but definitely in summer). It's neat that you have one!

I live in Louisville, KY and this place was full of mockingbirds this past fall. I had 10 to 15 pairs just near my home in a subdivision. They are beautiful and will sing on warm nights
