we have had 3 days with a couple more expected of heavy snowfall what few robins and bluebirds that were left up here have disappeared. But we got flocks of juncos to take their place 60 or more assorted juncos, But the downside is that a flock of pesky bossy starlings blew in with the storms and it's a constant battle to chase them off cause they try to eat everything in site. I took down the platform and hopper feeders and only left a tube feeder and a couple of cage feeders cause it's harder for them to eat from. spread a little seed on the stumps or on top of the snow for the ground feeders a little at a time after i chase the starlings away.

That's so interesting, because in late fall here we had a similar flock of robins fly onto our crabapple tree, and they stayed and ate crabapples for some time. Also some others went over and ate the sumac fruit at the neighbors'.
Then they all took off, I assumed they were on their way south, but then I read here that some robins never migrate.
So I can't be very helpful about where your robins might be heading.

The whole thing was very surprising to me when it happened here, too. (Actually the way they flew in kind of freaked me out, I had never seen a flock of robins, and they flew in so suddenly.)

I'm in Northern California and my robins have been showing up since mid-November. This is usual for here. I counted 13 in my back yard last week in one swoop where they came and stayed pecking in the grass for about 15 - 20 minutes.

it was interesting. i never seen that many. im thinking they hung around my house because we have a lot of mud since its been raining a lot.

+ i dont think the robins are going anywhere. its TX i dont think they would go further than that! lol

We've been overrun with robins too in central Florida. I'm told they're after the camphor berries which are ripe now. Every berry they eat is one less camphor seedling in my garden. Good robins!!

I'm in N. AL. About 2 weeks ago we had over one hundred robins in the yard (I started counting them by tens to reach that number) along with Cedar Wax-Wings, and Red-Winged Blackbirds. They were searching for water so I ran out and filled 2 of the 4 baths we have and they attacked the water! Was amazing, and we watched for about an hour as they took turns covering the birdbaths.
