Hey Rose, I'm sure I'm only the 18th person to ask this, but any prediction on when we'll be receiving our swappers name? I'm heading out of town soon and was hoping to do some shopping for my swapper at this really cool store where I'm going. ;-)

Daisy Me, you asked what everyone else is wondering - as for matching up, I plan to do that this weekend. When I went through the list last weekend, there were 4 people who had indicated they wanted to be "in" and had not responded or had pretty incomplete information so I am waiting a few days to give them a chance to be included (one has completed her info and gotten it to me since then.) I suppose I should have discovered that sooner and since I didn't, I am allowing a few days for those who may have been away for a few days or don't check their e-mail everyday, etc. (Not everyone is like me and on the computer about three times a day... LOL!) If I don't hear from them by the end of the day tomorrow, I will just complete the circle as it is.

Thank you for the special thoughts. I've asked for Devil's Food cake with chocolate frosting, boldly placed the mix and frosting on the counter and hope a birthday fairy will come along and put it together. Have a very special family so I'm not too worried. But if I were to enjoy an extra bite for each of you that wouldn't help the winter weight gain one bit so will take just one extra bite with all in mind.

No miss Mellen I meant 10 yrs younger than you. puppy is about 70 yrs younger :)

The names will be going out starting today!!! Please be patient if you do not get your name today. I think it may take me three days to do all the e-mail with the "copy and paste" and trying to make sure I get everything right. When you get the info for the pal you send to, some will list the person's birthday and some will not. You can always check the member's GardenWeb site and their birthday may be listed there. If not, just ask!
No one has told me they want to be "secret' so if you want to say who you send to or receive from, that is up to you.
This seems to be a great group of ladies. I really wanted to send to and receive from every one of you. Hopefully, we can all get to be good friends by posting and sharing with one another here at the round robin site.

Just rememeber, this does not start until January 2006. You are welcome to contact your pal before then and to send a card or note if you want to - but "receiving pals" please don't feel bad if you don't get get something this month - the circle hasn't started yet. If you don't get something in January, then we start to get concerned. If nothing has been received by the end of January, your sending pal will be dropped and the lady who was sending to her will begin sending to you. (Does that make sense?) Therefore, it is important that you do not send your February gift until you see if you have e-mail from me telling you to send to a different person. I hope everything goes smoothly and we don't have to eliminate people.

If you sent me an important e-mail message in the last day or so, please resend it... the spam filter was trying to screen out some e-mail and I know lots of it said "Garden Circle Exchange Ring" - a few did not. Well, your "on-top-of-it-all" leader saw one that was spam and clicked "Delete all" instead of just "Delete." So sorry. Once I have this all set up, I will add all the e-mail addresses so my computer recongnizes them and doesn't kick them into the spam folder.
Really sorry everyone - a lot of e-mail lately and I'm am still getting used to all the new names. Promise to be more careful in the future.

I am listing all the participants. If no one is planning to try to remain "secret" - I will go ahead and list who is sending to whom in a day or two just so you can recheck what I sent and make sure I got the right name in the right place.

I copy and paste when I do this so it always worries me I may not copy and paste the right parts... after deleting e-mail the other day, I guess I should worry. Anyway, I think everything I sent is all right. (Hope! Hope!)

Just a thought...what do ya'll think. I just want to do it however everyones else is doing it, if keeping secret, I'll do the same. I really don't care, but for those of you that have nothing on your web page or trade list, it would really help if you could tell us just a little more about what you like, other that what we got from Sandlapper Rose.....just a suggestion.....And I can't help it, I'm sending my pal a little something for Christmas, although, I'm not sure it will get there by Christmas because I got her name today....I know I don't have to do it, I want to....and to whoever has my name....not to worry, I'm expecting in January! lol

On the secret or not secret, I think pretty much all of us who participated in 2005 came to the conclusion that it would be nice to know who our pal was, mostly for the opportunity to get to know them better. I'm sending a card to my new pal, and unveiling my identity from the start!

I am so sorry, Myohhmy. I searched and it doesn't look like I ever got an e-mail message from you. (Now if it came a day or two ago when I messed up and deleted some, I had already matched folks by then so it would not have helped.) If you may have used another e-mail address when you sent to me, let me know and I will hunt again. Not really sure what I could do at this point, but I am curious as to what happened.
As for the other lady, she did have someone to send to - the problem was just in her e-mail getting to her.

As for whether to be "secret" or not, I had planned to do whatever my "receiver" wanted to do. If she wants me to remain "secret", then I will. If not, then that's fine, too.

I am absolutely delighted. I found out who my sending pal will be this year and it is the person that I sent to all last year in another robin. What a nice Christmas present. Debbie, thank you so much for the lovely fairy statue. I really like it. It goes very well with the other fairies that I have and will fit extremely well in the fairy garden that I am planning. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have sent a little something to my receiving pal, although I didn't have much time to get it together. But this is a special month for her and I didn't want it to pass by without at least a token. I hope she is as happy with me as I am with who my new pal is.

Glad the match-up of the "pals" seems to be going okay. If you get someone you swapped with in another robin, it is purely coincidence. In Karen's case it turned out it was the person who she sent to and now that pal will be sending to her so that's good... The only place I looked to make sure I did not duplicate something is that if you were in the Garden Circle Exchange for 2005, I made sure you would not be sending to that pal again (at least according to YaYa's list that she posted a few weeks ago.)
Well, busy days for all of us but glad to see so many are stopping by to post to the group.

I could have sworn I posted here the other day, must have been one of those times my puter kicked off on me =( We have that problem fixed for the time being. Darn thing is overheating, so I had to venture into the attic to bring down a little box fan, tear the side off the case and set up the fan to keep it cool =) Sure, no problems all summer long, but as soon as winter gets here, it overheats =oP

Anyhoo, I want to wait to find out who is sending to me, I like suprises! I wouldn't even mind if my first package was sent "annonymosly" =) If the person I am sending to wants to know, I will tell!

DS and I will be going to see King Kong and do some last minute x-mas shopping tomorrow (pray for us! lol!) and I will be on the lookout for goodies for my pal =)
