Mostly these products are soap, a surfactant, that allows water to penetrate soil easier by reducing the surface tension in the water, same thing that removes grease from pots and pans and dishes. Rather than spending money on these products add organic matter, compost and other vegetative waste, to your soil to accomplish the same thing.

I also prefer crushed with no added liquid. Mine are more "diced", but same processing. I don't want anything to dilute that garden fresh flavor, that's a big part of why I'm preserving in the first place!! Because I use them in soups or sauces, there's no need for halves/whole tomatoes for me. I'm going to cut them into bite sized pieced anyway. You can fit more tomatoes in a jar if they're cut up too, saving time and money! Deanna

We did use the liquid soil aerator, and it worked great for us. The back of my yard was too shady for grass, so I bought some bulbs to plant last winter. You couldn't get an inch down in the soil. My husband tried a power drill with a wide drill bit, but even that wouldn't go into the soil. I ordered the aerator on line, not expecting much. I am happy to say, we are now planting bushes and shrubs in the back with no problem. Also, we have used this in our entire yard, and our grass was beautiful last year. Now, we did use it more than once. I think all together 4 times in the trouble spots, but after the first application, you could tell a very noticeable difference.

Oh, yeah, I'm a coffee drinker too. Three cups a day usually. Have to have one in the morning as I read the paper, but it's the Maxwell House International Coffee beverage, not regular coffee. I've been drinking the Cafe Francois flavor for years and years, if they ever discontinue it I don't know what I'll do. sleeper, I recently saw the coconut water at Stop'n Go and was tempted to try it.
