One thing you can try is a soil flush--water a lot more than you normally would to drive the herbicide down into the soil profile. Don't allow runoff or extreme puddling, but small puddles that are temporary are fine. Fortunately, complete failure from an herbicide is rare (although there are a few I can think of that would cause almost complete failure), but it's definitely going to have an impact on how much seed sprouts.

Leave as-is. Good soils do compact a bit underfoot. That's their job. Walking on my lawn is an exercise in Feeling the Sponginess. What I compact today will be aerated and expanded again by the soil life over the next few days and return to where it was. Even if the rolling wasn't good enough (it probably was), the roots in there now aren't going to like being rolled again, nor will the young and very delicate crowns of the new grass. And by the time it's old enough, the soil will have compressed itself down appropriately and you'll probably never notice any very minor height differences.

It might sounds discouraging. I did the same thing as you did last April. The new grass grew so fast through May. However, when June came, the crabgrass took over. Even though I tried to pull out weed everyday, the crabgrass was uncontrollable. I researched in this website, people said its best to sow grass seed in October.
