Has anyone seen pink knockout in the nursery recently?

There was a discussion about Knockout roses on the rose forum. I already have Double Knockout, but then I saw Jess's pictures, I decided I need pink Knockout. I've also heard there's a double pink Knockout, which I'm thinking I may like better. Just wondering if anyone has seen either one of these in the DFW area recently?

Would you believe I found one at WalMart in Plano a few weeks ago? They literally had just one pink one and the rest were red. I bought the pink one. I haven't seen Knockout roses at Walmart recently though. I think the smart gardeners bought them all.

Do you have a local Calloways? If so give them a call, they have them down here at ours.

White Out rose is the closest thing to being White Knockout. I first found out about it last year and it said it was KO rose as well but recently, they removed KO on that rose. I'm not aware if they ever came up with white one for KO rose series. Anyway, supposedly Sunny KO will turn pure white from light yellow in full sun and hot weather. Just have to wait a couple months when it gets hot. I may just get White Out rose if it becomes available locally.

Humber Nurseries has a wide variety of seeds available, just there today. All their Livingston Veggie seeds are 50 cents a pack! However they are last years seed... We bought $25.00 worth! ;) They had lots of other brands of plant seeds too, but don't look to be up to full stock yet.

Has anyone tried Knockout Roses in zone 4 or 5?

I bought a KO about a month ago. I was in a rush and put the pot in with my planted roses. I totally forgot that I even bought it (never mind water it). A couple of days ago I remembered not planting it and even though the pot was dry as a bone, that little rose was blooming it's heart out. I sure hope it survives z5b winters because I can truly say it survives drought conditions. Marilyn

So I just called Corian and spoke with customer service. They said that everything as far as tone of background and colors of veining have remained the same. The veining was a more directional pattern for awhile but any slab that is made after 2019 will have more of the random veining in it. He said “ the veining issue was corrected”. Not sure if people were calling in and complaining, wanting old, random veining pattern back. Whatever the reason, the more random pattern will be in slabs made after the year 2019!! YAY!!

Would you believe I was just at Walmart and started to check, but I figured there was no way that would have it.

It's been awhile since I've been to Calloways so I think I go today and see if they have it. I'm pretty sure I saw pink knockout there earlier, but I'm thinking I'd rater have double pink knockout and I'm not sure if they had that one.

I saw some at Home Depot the other day. They had quite a few. I am in the DFW area.

I picked up a couple at the Home Depot in The Colony, but that was 4-5 weeks ago...good price too.

Calloway's in McKinney has the rainbow knockouts in 2 gallon pots for half off! Actually all their roses are half price. Plus you could you use the 50% coupon talked about in another thread!

I just got a 2 gallon Madame Antoine Mari for $6.25 plus an additional 20% for Friday Happy Hour. An absolute steal! :) They also had Buff Beauty, Carefree Beauty, Mrs. Dudley Cross and Nearly Wild along with some Hybrid Teas.

Oooooo! I might need to go to Calloway's to check out their sales. That one in McKinney is only about 15 minutes away for me to drive.

I've decided that I want the Double Pink Knock Out instead of the regular Pink Knockout. I checked the Grapevine and Hurst Calloways and they had the red, double red, pink, and rainbow so I'm hoping they will eventually get the double pink. It sounds like you got some great roses!

I think the one you are looking for is Rosa ÂRadtkopinkÂ. I am not sure if these nurseries have them, but these are some of my favorite haunts:

Thanks, fairysoapgirl. I've checked all of those and no one has it so far. I remember that Calloways didn't get Double Red Knockout until late in the summer so I'll just keep checking them all and hopefully someone will get it in.
