Home Remedies for Sunburn?

Okay, after the plant swap, I spent LOTS of time in the sun, getting all my new babies in the ground and getting all my beds just right, putting the finishing touches on a pond, and then yesterday, I was at a softball tournament all day. I know the BEST thing for sunburn is PREVENTION with sunblock, but for those times when the sunblock wore off, was forgotten or for whatever reason didn't work*, what method have you found that actually works to relieve pain, speed healing, prevent peeling, etc.?

The things I reach for first are moisturizer, Advil, a big glass of ice water, Panama Jack Green Ice (cooling aloe vera gel) and a fan. Are there any tried and true home remedies out there?

*I found out the hard way that sunblock has a short shelf life. If it's last year's sunblock, you might as well throw it out and get new stuff.
