Northerner visiting South over Christmas ISO red worms!

Hey everybody--We just moved to central Ohio over the summer. I meant to start a worm composting bin in the fall but what with all the other garden chores (you know how it is, especially ata new place!) I procrastinated too long.

Now I do not want to order worms through the mail due to the weather this time of year, but as we are traveling to the Atlanta area next week anyway to visit our son I am hoping I can buy some (about 2 pounds) in the South to bring back home.

NOTE --> I could pick them up only on Friday, Dec. 26 or Saturday, Dec. 27.

Is there any GW-er out there who will sell me some, or connect me with a dealer? I have sent queries to two possibile suppliers via Atlanta Craigslist, but decided I'd get a better response from one of YOU here in the Forums!

My husband is sure I have gone off the deep end, wanting WORMS for Christmas! (He wants to know if I expect him to gift wrap each one separately!! LOL)

My kids think it is hilarious.

Help--I really need these little guys--my vegetable peelings and coffee grounds are piling up since I cannot dig in the ground up here now! (I put stuff in a

bucket in the shed to keep it frozen.)

Many thanks !

Carol
