Has my bin become stunted?

Hi Again!

Another novice question.

I came across vermicomposting by accident trying to save the "Green (compost) Beetle" for fishing in a small plastic rotisserie container. I lost the beetles but I ended up (when I started) with 40+ " red wigglers".

I went from the rotisserie container to a larger plastic container that they ship fish in for restaurants. I would check the worms occasionally to see how they were doing over the year. I also found this to be a fascinating art form of composting.

Just a few weeks ago I found thousands upon thousand's of tiny wigglers. Many not more than an inch long, and there must be thousands more of babies.

There doesn't seem to be that many larger worms that could produce that many.

Has my bin become stunted?

Thanks again

Jim
