help!!! cold process coffee grounds

I have just had a worm CATASTROPHE ! We just staring using a Cold Process coffee maker. This soaks the grounds over night in cold water, then you drain out the coffee, and add hot water. Makes great coffee.Less acidic....hello!! So I had about 2 cups of grounds, and adding them to the bin last night. I have added moderate amounts of grounds before, no problem.

Normally when I open my bin, there are some worms on top, and you can "hear" them as they escape the light.

Well I opened up my bin and right away no worms wriggling on top. Reached in and the few just under the surface, listless and not moving. My bin is well established , with thousands of worms, and they are all dug as deep to the bottom as they can go.

I think these grounds are much more acidic than normal coffee grounds.

I am going to soak and add a block of coir right away. It is neutral ph.

What other additions can anyone suggest.? I have corn meal, and oats, or can go get something. HELP!!!!!!!!!
