Your link didn't work, but it will probably be next to impossible to identify if it's that small - there are so many varieties and usually hard to identify until they get more mature and even then it might be impossible. And if it's one the builder put in it's probably not one of the better varieties.
Since crape myrtles are so inexpensive, I'd probably decide where I wanted a crape myrtle and then go find one that fits the size and growth pattern (spreading or upright) for the chosen spot. One word of caution - the tags on the plants in the nursery usually say they will be shorter than they really will be after 10+ years, so if you want one, say that gets to 6-7 feet, get a dwarf. It will take longer to get to 6 feet, but will not likely get larger. I planted one 20 years ago that was supposed to get to 15-18ft - and it did after about 8 years - but now it's probably 25-30' tall. Lukily it is in a place where that didn't matter. Also, choose a newer variety (with a Native American name) which will be more mildew resistant, and also, if you want tree form, look for one that doesn't sucker badly from the base. All crape myrtles are shrubs, and some can be trained to tree form better than others.

I feel your pain. I've bought two that were supposed to be very big, but haven't gotten over three to four feet tall! I don't know what to do with them, but they look silly in the middle of the back yard where I planted them. I keep thinking, "next year they'll be bigger", but they never grow!

I responded to your question about posting pictures in the tree forum, but wasn't sure you would see it there. My response should help you post your picture if you decide to, but Debndal is right on target and I doubt posting the picture will lead to an ID. In any case, here's what I wrote in response to your question about posting pictures in the Trees Forum:

One of the easiest ways to provide your photo to be embedded into a post is to upload it onto an image hosting site such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc. That should be pretty straight forward, and the individual sites will give instructions on how to get your photos uploaded to their site when you sign up.

Once your picture has been uploaded, find its web address by right clicking on the image and copying the image location. Some sites may even provide your image's address in a text box below the photo for your convenience.

Let's say, as an example, that the address of the picture you want to post is http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg

To embed the picture into a post, use the command:
img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg">;

If your picture is too large to fit nicely into the text page, you can add a width attribute. The command with the width attribute would looks something like:
img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg"; width=600>

Note that I had to use special characters to get the commands above to show up here without turning into pictures, but you can use them as shown (with the correct image web address, of course).

And, BTW, you'll probably have better luck finding info on crape myrtles (Google searches, etc) if you spell crape with an a instead of an e. Almost all botanical gardens, university websites, and the Crape Myrtle Society spell it with an a.
