hello, i have a large out door compost area that is surrounded by straw bales and is about30 feet x 30 feet. the area is full of old leaves and grass clippings and some well rotted hourse manure. i put the horse manure in because it was teaming with worms. this pile has been ther now since january and when i fork into it at the soil level i do not see many worms . ok perhaps they are down deeper the area is moist and in the woods of my property so well shaded. trying to create the right conditions for worms to do their job and help with the composting. should i buy worms to add or what. is there a book or web site amyone might recommend.
