That white 'egg' is the caterpillar's head. We're looking at the top of its shiny little head...can't really see its eyes from your image. So the little gold colored globes at the top are part of his disguise. The shiny white thing is his head capsule. His real eyes are dinky little things on front of his head, closer to his mouthparts. It's not shedding an old skin, but is simply designed to look like a lizard or a frog. If you google Spicebush Caterpillar you'll see lots and lots of great images that shows them clearly. A 'serving size' is determined by whomever hangs that label on a food product. And actually the feds have determined 'serving sizes' when setting up the food pyramid and they used several criteria. It is meant as a guide, however, and not a mandate and I think that is the way it should be. Does it realistically reflect the sizes people actually eat? Do pigs fly? The skinny on this subject (dear to my heart) is that there are restrictions and rules set down by the federal and also state governments on labeling. There have been many complaints by consumers over the years, there have been many judegments and regulations written. But it has and always shall be playing a game of catch-up with manufacturers with profit maximums in mind and the consumer is told to remember the principle of caveat emptor. I have a background in chemistry, agriculture and health. I read labels on every food product I buy and STILL find interpretting the label into nutritional common sense difficult. Manufacturers have lobbyists and think-tanks, and ad campaigns. Most want to stay legal, obviously, but they do it..........uhm.........creatively. Even and especially point-of-sale sites do the same thing. One of my local markets give the unit price, except when they have a food on sale. So, half the shelf is 'on sale' so that you can't determine what the price per unit is. LOL. There is also no standardisation where container sizes are concerned between brands. A calculator found it's way into my purse and lately I use it. The results are surprising....especially where quantity surcharge is concerned. Sometimes you pay a premium on buying the larger size. It's the store's way of using the cheaper by bulk mindset and taking advantage of it. You can bet any time a food contains the current media foe, like transfat, the serving size is going to shrink to whatever it takes to stay under the latest federal label law trigger. Like margarine with the claim of 'no transfat'. Again, do pigs fly?

There are "Other reasons" to panel a DW or A Fridge, instead of just to "Hide It". I watch a lotta Home & Garden and DIY Network too. You may have seen the posts in "Kitchen Forum" where somebody asked, "Do I need a DW in my new kitchen"? The answers were "almost" universally yes!! So I don't get this "Latest Fad", Hide the appliances (it will pass). I have looked at probably thousands of pictures of Kitchens both on GW and elsewhere! I have not seen a single (not a single picture) where I could not walk straight up to the Fridge or the DW (Regardless of the "Total Integration" which as mentioned, You will pay "Dearly" for. Both our Fridge and Miele DW are built in and wood panelled. We did that for 2 reasons, One is, we were tired of trying to keep stainless steel "Spotless" The DW is a real problem , you get a drop of water on it, and it instantly "Morphs into a difficult spot to remove". The other reason we did it, is we like the look of wood, and I "Personally think" that the Miele label above the wood looks great, and I like seeing the readout so I know what the DW is up to. "Semi" integreated appliances are quite a bit cheaper than fully integrated ones, and this 67 year old has no desire to "Design to the latest Fad" which as I mentioned is a farce anyway, and most ppl want a Fridge and DW in their Kitchens, so why "Pretend" to hide them????? Do you mean that the installer would run the refrigerant lines now for the paired units upstairs for installation now. And would also run a second line set that right now would not be used, but be "in the walls" and ready to go if you add in a second multihead condensing unit outside for use in the downstairs bedroom and dining room. It is true that putting in the copper refrigerant lines now would make the tech's work easier if you added in an identical system downstairs in the future. But if you need different capacity in the future downstairs, that lineset size may not be the correct one, making this all extra expense for no result. If you know that you eventually want to condition all of these rooms, you might consider right now buying a larger capacity outdoor unit that can serve 4 indoor units. I didn't pull the specs on your unit, but am "best guess-ing" from the nomenclature that it is a 2 ton multihead condensing unit. So you would need a second one to do the downstairs rooms. You may be able to find a system that can function with 2 to 4 airhandler units and work with both 2 now and 4 later. (It may not work, but you would want to check, based on your home load profile.)
