Will the REAL Brandywine please stand up...

I am really confused here. I read another post on Brandywines being sold that not really Brandywines. I ordered the Brandywine from The Tasteful Garden. Do you happen to know if it is the "real" Brandywine they sell? I thought it would be a reliable place to purchase one but now that I think about it I could swear it looked like a potato leaf variety. I never knew the real brandywine was not a potato leaf variety. I also purchased a Brandywine from Whiteflower Farm that I haven't had time/space to plant yet but I wonder if it is the same. They are in CT with me, and I have been there. Maybe because I live closer and shipping is so fast, I have had very good luck with any plants I got from them, both purchased at the nursery and by mail, unlike their poor rating on Dave's Garden. Any way, I don't know how reliable they are regarding heirloom varities. Any info on these two would be appreciated. I still have time to pull it out and put it in a pot and give the prime garden space to one I haven't had room for that otherwise would get stuck in a pot.

Thanks!

Sue
