BSF eating my worms out of the house?

All of a sudden my BSF larvae are getting very active and have an incredible appetite. My worms are climbing up the sides of my bin, sitting on the edge, some are dropping out, they fall out and shrivel up outside. What should I do? Just push them back in and not worry? I feed them a lot and make sure I ad shredded newspaper when things look a bit wet. I can't go a day without feeding them right now. They are really noisy, btw, munching away. Is this just temporary till the mature and fly away? Is their activity just a seasonal thing? I had a lot of BSF in the past, then none visible, now A LOT. I normally leave the lid on a bit loose. Should I close it tighter?

My setup is just a large rectangular rubbermaid bin with holes drilled in the bottem and sides - sits in the garage.
