How to tell a pink tomato from a red tomato?

I've done what others here have said they did -- I think I mixed my Mortgage Lifter and Neves Azorean Red seedlings when I set them out. I have plenty of ML seeds left since I bought them this Spring, but no more NARs. So I want to save the NAR seeds.

It isn't a mistake I'm terribly upset about since I think I'll eventually be able to tell them apart -- the ML plant usually grows taller and has pink fruit, while the NAR is shorter and produces red fruit. But both are RL, so there's no way to tell the difference now.

I'm counting on being able to differentiate them by the fruit color when they ripen. In the past I've been able to tell the difference when they're on the vine and the sun is shining, though dang if I can see the difference with inside light.

I've read that pink fruit has a clear skin when peeled and red fruit skins are red. Is this a reliable way to know what I've brought in the house? IOW, is the difference visible enough to be sure?
