could be Kodata, which has been widely available through the big box megaretail stores.

My friend Linda M. wrote in an email recently: "I bought one of the new red mimosas called FLAME. LOVE mimosas! Cut ants, gophers, deer..nobody bothers them and they are so dang drought tolerant! Major childhood memory for me too." She says the blooms are more of dark pink than true red. There is also a fairly new dark leafed variety. I think they call it 'Chocolate'. Wish I had a place to put one.

Up top you have a pair of gorgeous adult Red-shouldered Hawks (a species of Buteo, aka soaring hawks). On the bottom you have a juvenile (first year) Cooper's Hawk (a species of Accipiter). Notice the Red-shouldered Hawks' fancy black/white checkered upperwing pattern, and black/white banded short, fat tail. The Cooper's Hawk is showing a good view of its long, narrow tail.

It looks like Albizia julibrissin (Silktree Mimosa). There is another with a green/white flower. Not sure but that one may be Albizia lebbeck. Hazel.
