UPDATE: another 12 person 12month exchange

I couldn't find a new thread after the last went to 100 but I wanted to let my secret pal know that your june pkg came back to me but i sent it back out today and i also wanted to let everyine know that i recieved a great pkg in the mail thisis what was included:

Frog garden flag which i so desperatley needed to replace the other one.

2 homemade soaps

fragrance oil

stained glass butterfly suhncatcher which dalton loves

dalton got a fishing net with 3 fish and some coloring sheets about trees and their purposes which are cute

a cat picture album

3 pk of plastic plant starters you fill with water and put around the plants and the following seeds:

Cherry Rose Jewel Nasturtium

salad bowl blend lettuce

tom thumb lettuce

black seeded simpson lettuce

fanfare cucumber.

Thank you so much pal you did a great job we loved our pkg.

On July 7th @ 12:21 pm Eli Alexander Was born weiging in at 7lbs 6oz 20 in. So now that we are home and recovering from the c-secion me and the boys will get a hold on things and get things caught up.

Hi. I was wondering about an update myself. I got a package for July. It had some great seeds, magnets, and cute note cards and seed envies. Thanks so much pal--I can't wait to start those seeds! I will be sending mine out soon for July.

I received my June package Friday from tensatootie, Beautiful windchimes, a record book to keep my trades in. a nice assortament of seeds, yellow canna bulb and a lily bulb. Thank you so very much, Doris

Sharon, it sounds as if you have the same type box that we do. The mailman leaves a key in our locked box for us if we have a pkg. Most of the time: he gives us the wrong key, and it will not open the locked package box. Has happened almost every time. Very frustrating. I am not ordering plants by mail because of all the problems. They would be driven in the mail truck for many days, and if we had a mailbox now, we would get the wrong key, and it would sit in there. I have to walk over a block to where our mailbox is, and at first I used to go in the wheelchair, when my legs were bad, a real feat on gravel road! I can walk now and the exercise is good for me. All of you, count your many blessings in just walking. I did not walk for over 3 years, and if I walk for several hrs. as in grocery shopping, I live on Tynenol and bed rest for about 6 hr. This is nerve disease as a side affect of epilepsy meds. I do not take my health for granted anymore. Cassie: your card & seeds went out today again. Darlene

I'm very disenchanted with this exchange. It seems most of the people of this exchange either dropped out or fell off the face of the earth. I spent alot of time preparing for and spending money each month trying to fill boxes. I've heard word from two very nice people that they received their boxes and the rest have not bothered. I spent the extra for a delivery confirmation to know if they did in case I had to send another box for replacement. I'm very sorry for those of us who were willing to continue with this exchnage. It was fun at first, but now I have decided to discontinue as well. No one is posting anymore. Thank you to those that played fair. To those of you who decide to continue, I wish you all the best of fun. Bonnie

Tina, thanks for letting me know. You've got me waiting on pins and needles now cause you know it is almost prime seed starting season! Yahoo! Beth, Another person is supposed to order seeds from Dowdeswell's Delphiniums Ltd (you can look them up on the web and salivate). Since they require you order 50 seeds of each type, she was looking for a couple of people to go in with her. She said she would get back to me toward the end of Feb, since that is when this company's new seed crop ripens. I'm really hoping this goes through. I've been having trouble with dampening off this year and I've been reading up on it since delphs are very prone to it. I've only grown the Delph's for a couple years and only a couple each year. They are iffy here. Seems like 1/2 don't come back the next year. We get pretty hot and humid here in Aug. But our cottage is in zone 5 and a much cooler area so I'm hoping I can get some of them to be perinneal there. :o) Your squirrel swap is so funny, I stop there often. I NEED a life! LOL sharon

I think he has checked your profile twice at least and is making notes. He knows how devoted to this robin you have been, even though things aren't always equal or fair on all sides of things.
Thanks for remembering the info about the chocolates.
I thought maybe you were teasing me.....sending me the tag, but not the chocolates....lol. Silly rabbit,I am.
Too hot to send chocolate in the mail anyway. Darn.....lol

Everyone,

I am *SO* sorry! My grandfather died this past month, and I haven't had time to get on the computer, much less check e-mail or the forums (I've been having withdrawls!) I really didn't intend to let you guys down.

To my June and July buddys, I will be sending your packagaes out ASAP, I am not forgetting about you!
