What Wildflowers Has MN...

gifted your yard with? I have an acre of land with almost all of it still "wild". I was walking around enjoying all the native/wild/weed flowers that was in bloom and thought to share...

Thanks for sharing those shots Sam.

Isn't it amazing how many little beauties are out there just waiting for us to slow down long enough to take a close look at them?

I'm sure they're more interested in the insects and birds noticing them so they get pollinated than us, but, its amazing how much "work" they go to to put on a show.

Its still a little early in the season for us to have many wildflowers. And, so far, its been dry, so we may have a light year this year on our wild flower displays.

Hello Leftwood. I would like to do a trade with you. I need more Allium stellatum as I could only collect about a dozen seeds. Also would like Penstemon grandiflora. Oprah did a show on the Texas State Fair. That is the first time I heard about deep fried butter. She interviewed the man that invented it. He said he would never get tired of buttered toast, hence the reason for the creation. I don't know if the MN State Fair has it - I have not seen or heard of it featured there in the past. We don't need deep fried butter because we Minnesotans are too busy trying to get into the dairy building to see the carver creating a new "butterhead". LOL
