I won't be able to come. We will be in Oregon that weekend. I was hoping we would be leaving the following Sun or Mon, then I could come, but we're leaving on the 12th.

I don't think the swap would take in one specific place. I think the way we would do it is we would have everybody post their wants and haves, and then we would choose partners. The criteria for the partners should include things like "who lives close to each other" (to reduce shipping costs), "who has something on someone else's list", etc.

Do UPDATE your posting here and on your member page with your Haves and Wants. THIS IS IMPORTANT: When you bring your plants, LABEL your plants if possible. We often forget which was what by the time we get them home! Popsicle stick, plastic spoons, recycle old window blinds or other "plantable markers" are great, as they can be popped right in to the ground along with the plant. Clearly mark & separate your "RESERVED PLANTS" (i.e., plants for which you have a pre-arranged swap). GENTLE REMINDER: At the swap, please do NOT take anything that is labeled for someone else, or is NOT labeled "Free" or "Please Take." Ask. That's all you have to do. I liked the organization of Sylvia’s post so I’m going to give it a try. Please let me know if I forget anything I’m supposed to bring someone. I’m bringing: Sylvia- Red yucca (small), Crabapple tree seedling, Tomato seedling, variegated hostas Debbie- mums (they’re either purple or yellow and about 2” tall) and marigold seedlings Linda- Cosmos Seeds In exchange for: Sylvia- Daffodils, Jerusalem sage, Yellow yarrow, Zebrina hollyhock and possibly a Cecil Bruner cutting (if you have another?) Debbie- sweet potato vine, apricot colored iris, dark pink bougainvillea, hydrangea and deep pink camellia bush cutting Linda- John Fanik phlox, shrimp plant and a yarrow I also dug up and potted these things today: - Washington hawthorn seedling - purple rose of Sharon seedling - marigold seedlings - Joan J thornless raspberry (one rooted young cane) - onion slips - asiatic lily (small, I think it’s white) - common orange daylily - yellow lillies -misc. Lillies (not sure of the color; my mom gave them to me and they haven’t bloomed yet) - mums (they’re either purple or yellow and about 2” tall) - sedum - mother of thousands - a paperwhite bulb - golden crownbeard - a stem of luscious lemonade lantana (no roots, I broke it off from the base of the plant today.) I also have an elderberry bush I can bring if someone wants a cutting (and knows how to take a cutting from it- I don’t)
