Tomato seedling going outside test - zone 4

I've got a few extra seedlings - and running out of room as I transplant some to larger pots.

I think Im going to try to plant a couple small seedlings outdoors this weekend as temps seem to be highs of 60 to lows of 40 for the forseeable future.

I am curious what you think will happen to these seedlings. Im guessing they will stall growth for a week or two until temps warm up a bit? If I cover them if temps hit 36 to 38 be ok? Do you think they will make it overall or am I giving them a death sentence?
