Newbie tomato seedling question

shannon_lee

I am growing (or trying to) my tomatoes from seed this year. I apparently started them late (beginning of March) from what I found on the Internet so far. My question is they are still very small about 2 to 3 inches tall they do have true leaves and seem healthy but I really need them to actually produce this year. Should I go ahead and plant them or should I get seedlings from the nursery? Or can I fertilize them to get them moving faster? I had not realized it would take so long to get them to the size I am used to getting from the store.

Thanks :)
