Yes it is good to remind people to reduce the image size. The sizes produced by digital cameras (multi mega pixels and up) these days are for printing large detailed photos on paper which have different requirements than when viewed on the web. It is good to reduce the image quality as well as the size for people on slower connections it will take a long time to open your photo when a lower quality image is just a good for viewing on the web. There are many programs to edit your photos. Paint Shop Pro is an inexpensive one (vs. Adobe Photoshop) or Picasa is a good free one. It took me awhile to figure this out. The below link is the best and easiest explanation I've found on how to post photos. Very Basically: Go to Photobucket.com and open free account. Go to My Album. Upload your pics onto photobucket. On the photo you want to put in your message: click edit, click resize, click medium. Then click the bottom button to copy a 'Websize' pic in your album. Copy the HTLM tag (3rd one down) Go to Forum and type your message and paste the HTLM tag. Click preview. In preview should show your picture. If you don't see your picture, try again. Then submit. H&C... First off..I save my photo to a file in My Documents, be sure to give your picture a name or you will have a lot of numbers. I use photobucket and download the photo. When it is downloaded, you then move your curser over the photo and a drop down will appear, you left click in the empty box just under the photo and on the left, then scroll down to the bottom right of the same page and you will see a bar which says, "generate html and img code," click on this bar and you will go to another window which then gives you 5 choices. I use the second option which is for eBay and Livejoirnals, etc. Left click on this option and then right click to copy. Return to the forum message box and paste photo. What you will see is alot of letters. You need to click on the Preview Message bar at the bottom of the message box in order to see your photo. If you do not see the photo only a lot of letters, you need to change the option in the html - img window of photobucket. One further note, if you remove your photo from photobucket, you will also remove it from this forum.
