Hey Jolana, Tammy - new laptop!

Well, my actual computer is still NOT fixed, but okay b/c I now have this new laptop to occupy my time! Miss you guys...my garden is a shambles right now, but am hoping to have some time in the fall to weed, etc. :-) Will post again when I can.

There must be something in the soil around here that makes gorgeous babies. All babies are cute. These babies are really,really spectacular! Congrats! PJ

Hi and thanks all for kind words. Hoya sp Gunung Gading is also named sp borneo meredithii. I bought it in Sweden. It's actually becoming more and more avalible across Europe As for the substrate. Some of tghem grow in original german seramis and some in.... non clumping cat litter (made of red clay). I find it great. No other way my cuttings root and grow faster. The substrate gives perfect moisture and air around the roots. Hoyas seem to love it. And so do I as it's less complicated than standard hydroponics system. You can have a hygrometer put in the pot but you don't have to as it changes colour when it dries. Seems to be just perfect

yep, that is me, Rose Threadkiller. I have flaming red wings WITH gold edges, BUT.....I have got so fat I can't fly anymore. LOL My tights are a wee bit uncomfortable, riding up then rolling down at the waistband like that. All that dew in the early morn makes me wet, which makes me cold..... and, I am skeered of spiders, and can't stand spiderwebs. I am a lousy fairy. Heheehe. Janie

I agree with everyone else ~ I think all of those will come back, Tammy. All you listed are herbaceous perennials, so will die down but sprout back again come spring. I know we sell all of them as hardy at work, and most of them I've had personal experience with. Though not the rosebud ~ that's one I'll be getting next year, if we can get more in (didn't this past year). A coworker brought a bloom in to ID about a month ago and I fell in love with it. Gorgeous, that one! And Texasfern, I read the part about your brugs wrong. Ooof! If they're inside, of course they'll be fine. ;) If I were you, I'd try to plant just one out in the spring, maybe after rooting some cuttings just in case. I drug my nine in half-wine-barrel pots in and out of the greenhouse for years before finally seeing one at work that was in the ground and doing fine. Most of them got planted this past year and talk about extra room in the greenhouse! I think I can hear an echo in there now. And man did the brugs like being in the flowerbeds ~ I actually got blooms on one without doing much of anything to it!

Aww, such a sweet baby! I love her name too. Glad to hear you are doing well. My yard is a shambles too, and I haven't even had a baby. Don't feel bad. Congratulations!

She is stunning! I see some new borns and think hmmmmm....then they become beautiful..but Ms. Emma is absolutely grogeous!!

Thanks you guys! We are holding up okay, just really tired and it's so hard w/ the first one, trying to figure out what works! We are getting there! Jolana, the cats are holding up pretty well too. Emma doesn't move much, so they lose interest in her past one sniff. :-) And of course, they don't like it when she cries, but that one very friendly black cat of mine will always come over and sit with us when she cries so he can make sure she is okay. Sweet boy!

I'm at my mom's new place now. Whenever it stops raining, I look outside and think of the pretty plants I need to tuck into the ground here! (hopeless, I know) There's no color out there!

Congratulations on your beautiful new baby! Rest when she is sleeping because that will be the only chance you'll get. It gets easier each day - breastfeeding gets easier too. I think it was more difficult when I had my second one less than two years later (one would be sleeping and the other would be awake) - I kept thinking how easy I had it with my first. Then came the third one - two and a half years later - and mine are all boys. I know this is a long ways away, but it really gets better when they're out of diapers! ;-) Hang in there and take care of that precious little bundle!
