Are Aristolochia trilobata and A. macroura the same plant?

Hi,
I'm running into a lot of conflicting information online regarding this question. Does anyone know what's up?
If they are indeed independent species, what are the chances that they will be correctly identified when sold? For example, if 99.9 % of the plants in the U.S. are A. trilobata, the chance that a plant sold as A. macroura is correctly labelled is probably small.
