Thanks, Martha. I tried both suggestions, but no change. Not sure exactly I've been using IE7...a couple of months, maybe? I'll be interested to see if the problem exists on my other computer. I can't tell at the moment because it needs a new monitor. Since posting the first time, I discovered that I can't open the comments to one of my blogs and I can't open the log-in screen that will let me download archived articles on a newspaper website. This is getting very irritating! I'll go see if Microsoft has some sort of help forum... Susan

I believe NBCUniversal owns gardenweb, (IVillage). I'm not an expert in the web biz but keeping your users at your site, not redirecting them to another, is one notion that was followed in my day as a tekkie. Why they single out jb is a mystery - maybe the two forums have too much overlap and are in direct competition. I might go to another gw forum, like a gardening one, that has nothing to do with tile and try adding a jb link there. See if it gets rejected.

I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time. I don't know exactly what your project entailed, but it seems the contractor was being overly optimistic by saying the job would take only one week. Bathroom remodels can be a real pain for the small space, with plumbing issues, tile and whatnot involved. I'd suggest to keep your cool with the contractor and sit down and explain that you find the tile unacceptable and ask them to redo the botched bullnose. He'll probably balk if he wants to just get away from the job, but by rights, he should offer to redo the poor work -- at his cost. Shower pans are not easy either and are prone to leak if not done properly. I would suggest that you very plainly tell him that he if doesn't fix the errors you will report him to the BBB and possibly take him to small claims court to cover the cost of having someone come in and do the job right. I know its hard, but the best bet is to remain as calm as possible and allow the contractor to take ownership of the problem and feel he has an opportunity to fix it to your satisfaction -- and if he doesn't want to work with you, your other option is to fire him, finish it yourself or hire someone else and take him to court to recover your additional costs. Everyone can make mistakes, but the difference is those who take responsibility for them and those who try to pass the buck, take the buck and run away.

Hi Christy203, Keep at it and don't give up. Searching can give you gray hairs but once you learn the system it will get easier. If there is something specific you want I can try to find it, my co-workers, family even a few on GW (gardenweb) joke that I have a nack for finding things. It could be the barbie doll shoe on the staircase, someone's cleats or the scissors and I know exactly where it was left. Finding info on the web is a little more tricky but I can do it to.
