I cleared caches and such - that may have done the trick.
Safari is my usual browser - I'm wondering if my stored access brought me to "older" pages - before that recent fix a few weeks ago.

when I was having trouble with safari, I was able to use firefox - I accessed the site fresh (not from stored info), so that may have been the problem?

so that may have been the problem?
Just a guess, but have found that clearing one's cache, often solves unexplainable problems, both here at GW and elsewhere.

I use Firefox for my main browser and seldom have any problems though.

I do not use Safari and I am using a Pc with Firefox.

I have been having this bad request for at least 2 weeks and it gets very annoying. I have found that clearing the cache will temporarily help, but it only works for 2 days or so, and then I have to do it again. It's really annoying. I've never had problems like this with any other website where cache had to be cleared so often, just to run.

UPDATE:
I was okay for a day or two - but it's back to "400 Bad Request".
mary4b's message prompted me to contact them again.

I was willing to change browsers in order to access the site - not ideal, tho. It's a pain to claer cache (w safari) everytime I want access.
What's most frustrating is when I follow a link from google and can't get in.

Same problem here. Bought my first MacBook Pro a couple weeks ago. At first it was smooth sailing on Safari (for Leopard), now I get the same "Bad Request" as mentioned above. I've switched to Firefox for GW visits. I'm taking the "one to one" classes at the local Apple store, so I'll mention it next visit.

I am using a new iMAC and I was getting the same message. I posted the problem on the Apple Forum-Safari questions web site and someone (a senior member of the forum) asked me to send him the link. I did and he wrote me and said it was the Garden Webs problem and it looked like the link was broken. I also wrote to the Garden Web with the problem.

Anyway, (knock wood) I haven't had any problems for probably about a week. It was driving me nuts!! I really love Safari and didn't want to have to use Firefox for the GW. What a pain...bouncing back back and forth...I don't think so!

I'll check back to this forum in the next week to see if it has cleared up for most people. Let's hope it stays FIXED!!

Still not working with Safari on my Mac. The beauty of the Mac is you can keep so much open on your desktop. Having 2 browsers open is no big deal. I'm discovering other shortfalls with Safari on certain applications, so I like having another option.
