Vaguely related, every single thread I read has "A copy of further followups will be emailed to this poster" in bold just under the message box. That used to show up only when someone really was wanting to recieve followups, but I see it even in threads I start and I know I haven't checked that box. Actually, if memory serves correctly, the "check here if you would like post replies emailed to you" box used to only show up on the original post and I see that constantly now too. Ghost box? Poor memory? Not sure...

as purpleinopp says, just report it. The latest offending post is now inaccessible. Better to have GW inactivate the post than to wait for it to move off the first page and hope no one will reply to it. GW wants to remove spam but they rely on us to let them know it's there - they can't monitor every forum all the time. Claire

I have a few areas where I send myself an email with a keyword in the subject line and let Yahoo sort it out. Delivery times vary considerably. Like someone above I once wondered "why". Then it occurred to, even if I knew "why" nothing would change. One of the advantages that come with dotage is caring less about why.

There can be two reasons you're not receiving the emails: You didn't check the "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you." box when you created/started the post You don't have the email option turned on in your profile. To turn the email option on: Go to "Your Profile" (see top of page, above GardenWeb banner) You will have to log in again Check to be sure the email address entered is the correct one Scroll down to bottom to shaded area. Check the box that says... Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site. Click the "Save Your Member Profile" button You're done! I don't know if it's retroactive for current posts, but all future posts should have replies emailed to you....assuming you checked the "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you." box when you create a new post. Note that this only applies to posts/threads that you start. There is no way at this time (that I know of) to keep track of someone else's threads other than to bookmark them as Loves2Cook4Six mentions.
