A row of miniature tree roses..

I got these from nor east roses when they were buy one get one free..about a foot and a half tall and they fit nicely in this small strip between the wall and the concrete path. It's the final show of roses right before you come into the house and everyone seems to be captivated by the small miniature blood red blooms...the theme of my garden is Death by roses!

Pappu, I think that is a VERY appropriate theme for your garden! When I look at your pictures my heart starts racing, drool starts falling and eyes start twitching and bulging out. Death seems imminent. LOL. Seriously, you have whatever it takes to grow gorgeous roses! Kudos to you and keep those pictures coming! Even at the risk of death! April

The mini trees are charming. How do they winter over? Do you wrap them?
Ditto on the request to keep the photos coming. I love seeing the landscape and full bushes.

Vineyard Song would make a very nice tree rose. It does droop. Lullaby also has a droopy habit as does Nostalgia. I've always wanted a micro mini tree. Elfin Glo or Sun Gold would look awesome as a mini standard. Too cute. Baby Grand would make an excellent tree rose.

I'm sure that in your climate, your mini standard will require some winter protection. You could keep it in the container and sink the container into the ground for the growing season. When it starts to freeze, you will need to move your tree into an unheated building or contrive some way to protect the graft union (where the rose variety was budded onto the root stock stem) which is the vulnerable part of any grafted rose. All of my tree roses are grown in pots which are winter protected in an unheated garage, where they are moved outdoors in late winter when danger of a freeze has past. If you experience prolonged freezing temperatures where you live, your tree will definitely require some winter protection.
