MNF 2011 Schedule In Need Of Some Hosts :)

Hi everyone!

This was on the other thread but I thought I'd repost it here so that everyone who wanted to host could sign up.

This is for the MNF Group (Make New Friends). You don't have to be member to join these swaps...just want to make new friends. Each month will have something different to offer through the imagination of your monthly host"ess".

We are still looking for 5 takers for the empty months below.

I do not know about anyone else but I know I am tired of looking at this post!! Tracy sent the form she had created last fall, Nikki updated it for her month. All we really need to make sure we capture is any person who did not fulfill their commitment as they are the only ones not welcome in an MNF swap. So if you were a host/hostess and had some problem children can you let me or Kathy know? Thanks. diene

why thanks pixie!! but i'm definately not that good a host!! i just talk alot!! LOL i can definately keep ya'll talking!! that's for sure!! LOL i only been here one year in feb i think. although it don't seem like it!! it seems like much longer sometimes, but then when i'm getting into something its like only a week or so. LOL like when mom and i went shopping for plants, i knew about all the plants we were looking at, but do you know, i could not tell her about 1 of them, if they were perennials or annuals, of course west lake didn't have them marked and they wer'ent there to hlep out. it was a weird weekend for me, i was brain dead for me, LOL she talked to the doc and got me test strips, i did remember to ask for a new monistor, LOL its amazing some days that i can walk and talk!! LOL so when we went to lowes and i got some plant parts free, that was cool, only cuz she was like, medo, ask if you can have it. LOL my mom thinking for me!!! LOL now the next time she comes in, i will be more clear!! LOL that will be so cool!! it was the epilepsy thing, once a month for a week or so it does that, so i couldn't hold lucy that long, wich really sucked!! i wanted to for a long time, but ya know, i didn't want to drop her, errrrrrrrrr!!! LOL see with my plants i don't have to worry about that!@! LOL well, with most of them!! LOL its storming, and it wasnt supposed to. but that's cool as long as its nice tomarrow so i can hang up the clothes!! :')) hugs Medo

My box arrived today. Hubby took it down the basement until I got home and things were nice and cool when I opened it. Darrin packed his box FULL. I couldn't believe how much he was able to put into that box. Amazing!! Keep in mind he went with a patriotic theme beginning with a nice note that included a poem he wrote. Job well done too. centranthus alba Iris (All night long?) rain lilies ranunculus anemone orange trumpet vine, (I have always wanted one of these and although I discovered one along the side of the ditch this year, I want one by the house.) Gladiolas, red and yellow Horseradish, can't wait to read up on this and get it growing. Along with the plants was Bag of tootsie rolls Hand sanitizer Strawberry marshmallow cream lip balm 2 notepads with flowers on the front notepad with a bluebird on the front, (I use a lot of notepads) 2 packages of Jobes fertilizer spikes, one for flowers and one for vegies Patriotic cushie for my cans two small keychain flashlights, handy!! Seed baggies Lady bug magnets a two pack of lipbalm Blue dolphin windchime Pocket phillips screwdriver, (keeping this away from hubby) Squirrel pot hugger, cute Plant markers AND a crocheted patriotic butterfly pin, (I am sure this is another one of Elly's creations. Be sure to tell her thanks for me Darrin) Thanks for the wonderful, wonderful box. I am going to keep it all wet and get it in the ground on the weekend. The temperature is supposed to reach 102 tomorrow so there is no way I am planting these lovely things now just for them to cook out there. Dan, I had one of the best times in this swap. You can take March if you'd like, since Dan can't do it. The schedule that we make is tentative. I'll dive in and host this year. Looks like June is left. I would like to do "strange or odd". I am thinking of odd color veggies like orange cauliflower, strange looking plants like tree pumpkin. What do you think?

Now that the hostess duties are all taken, I am looking forward to Beth posting the February swap. I have a lot of favorite things.

I'll post tomorrow eve. The dates will run a bit later so this can be "after Valentines Day". That way the second half of the month won't be empty. LOL
I'm having my daughter come to visit and I'll try to get her to play too.

Mavis posted that she needed someone to host the July swap for her, so I'm "coming out of retirement"...lol!!!

JULY TEASER...JULY TEASER...JULY TEASER...JULY TEASER
The July Swap is going to be called "Letting Freedom Ring", and is going to be a mix of ideas I've trotted out before in my swaps. I gaurantee I'm going to make your ears "ring" in this one! I want to give you all a chance to start getting your boxes sent out for June, so I'm going to post the July swap this coming week-end.
