Grand Junction winter advice

Howdy,

I live in Nederland, CO, just west of Boulder in the mountains, and I grow almost exclusively tropical plants (indoors most the time), and of all my plants about 95% of them are bananas (Musa) and that is my focus. That said, I will be experimenting with growing bananas in Grand Junction next summer on my friends peach farm. I will be using a special cold hardy edible variety but I need some good info on what the winters are like there, mainly low temps and duration of freeze/frost periods. Ive looked at various weather websites but most of the info are just averages and not very helpful yet. Ive heard of Musa basjoo growing well there and able to come back in the spring, so I guess there is a chance.

Thanks,

Gabe
