Kids do the darnedest things.

So I had some carribean red habs sitting out from my final pick before bringing the plant inside. My kids were playing the infamous open your mouth and guess what I put in there game. My 6yr daughter put one of the pods in my 8yr son's mouth lol.
I only wish I would have been home to see it. My wife said he was screaming lol. He was looking at the rest of the peppers last night and started laughing.

Here's something funny i have shared before.. I had a guy who wanted superhot plants. i warned him, he said "Don't worry about me, i eat hot sh*t" Keep in mind, this was a stranger who wanted to buy a few plants. I got out a jar of pickled superhots. He took one bite, didn't say a word but ran directly to my swimming pool and proceeded to scoop up water with his hands and drink...not to many things make me laugh, but this was one of them...John

For many years I tried to get Morning Glories to grow up a trellis that my husband put around our LP tank- never did have any luck with them so when my 4 year old (at the time) asked to help plant flowers I gave him a bunch of morning glory seeds to have for the garden- we had morning glories everywhere that year- When I asked him what he did to make them grow he says "nothing- i just stuck 'em in the dirt and left them alone". Now he plants morning glories in that bed every year and has named it his TURTLE GARDEN- he collects turtle figures all the time and even has our friends and family looking for new ones for him- his Granny got him 2 new ones for christmas this past year and he loved it. He is 7 now with over 50 turtles and still planting his "mornin glornies" as he calls them and I hope he keeps this up for many more years.

Oh there are so many, but as per usual I can only remember a few.. Claire used to say "prettyful" as in, "Don't I look prettyful today?" When she was 3 she would gently nudge you with a mean look on her face and say, "Did you like-a dat?" And when we would ask Annie to do something when she was 2 and a half she'd shout, "No! Never!" It was kind of hilarious although it never worked for her. She also called an elevator an "alligator" for a long time. Danielle

Too funny on the prices!! I purchased ours in the late 90's (Said DD2 was born in 1993) and know I would have only paid a few bucks for it. Not a junker or thrift store shopper so pretty sure it was new when I got it as a bulk candy display, My guess would be mine came from the world famous Tarjay. Crazy to see the prices that are all over the place. ETA-Just researched Westmoreland and they closed in 1984. I was a single gal during the early 80's and can picture a place south of Lexington , KY that we used to go to. It was sort of the HomeGoods/AtHome of the 80's! I must have bought this for me pre-kids as I do have a sweet tooth.

I've been more of an Amazon 'head scratcher' than an 'lol' recently. A few weeks ago I had a dishwasher, a pair of a favorite cotton house pant, (not a thick sweat pant with a tight ankle). A body butter, Korean chili flake, a crab pot for our upcoming vaca. AAA batteries, A dozen light bulbs...all in my cart and ordered at the same time on a Sunday. Then did our first Amazon WholeFoods....that came in 2 hours. (?!) A distribution center rather than a store shopper we realized. Much fresher produce than all that traveling and stocking shelves in a grocery. I've been getting some silly free gadgets with some items for some reason. A very handy favorite baby salad spinner for herbs and micro greens that fits easily in the fridge...came with an avocado slicer and a tiny keychain light. I would never buy an avocado slicer but have used it often. (I have 8-9 now ripe at the same time I need to freeze).

Lol that's great. I love when people say "I love hot stuff" and you ask about something they like, and they say something like Taco Bell fire sauce.
The opposite is funny to. Like when you ask for something spicy at a restaurant and the waiter says "be careful" then you ask for some hot sauce lol.

When my three boys were younger my wife often told them "Don't touch dads seeds, they're HOT!" as I dried/sorted/cleaned seeds from the season. Our youngest was watching one evening, put a finger on them then quickly withdrew it. With a look of curiosity on his face he put his finger on the mixed seeds & placenta a second time for a second or two then withdrew it. The third time he put his finger on the mixture he left it on, looked at me with a bit of a defiant look and said, "Not HOT!". I took his hand with the index finger still extended and swabbed his tongue with it.

He didn't scream or cry but I knew from the expression on his face he experienced the capsicum burn and the freezer had plenty of ice cream for him to cool his curiosity.
