I have posted this before but I think it is funny.....
After our son layed down in the snow and swung his legs and arms to make the design, he stood up and told our Grand Daughter, "See, I made and Angel in the snow." Looking at the picture Brian made, she said, "Oh, now make a dog!"

When my daughter was little and she liked her food and wanted more , she'd say "Omm ma more," translation "I want more."

Many years ago, my little girls who are a year and ten days apart were at dinner and when served corn on the cob, one says, oh look corn on the curb and the other one answers no it's corn on the scob! While walking through our garage a napkin was on the floor, one say look a nicken, the other one says, no, it's a nakin! So funny even after almost 50 years!

Older kid... but it cracked me up. 14 year old Emi had one of her best friends over Friday night after school and they were going to go to a school dance together. Girls came downstairs and Emi looked at her dad and said 'Can I have 10 dollars for a Mountain Dew?'. It just cracked me up. I said '10 dollars for a Mountain Dew?' in a really shocked and surprised voice and then we all started laughing. Have been laughing about that 10 dollar can of soda off and on ever since.

Last summer, my 7 yr old daughter and I were in Wal-mart. We passed by someone checking out and Brinley says, "Mommy! Look at the size of that zucchini!" I died laughing... I said, "Honey, that's a watermelon!" (it was one of those really dark ones and was long). I wrote that on the calendar so that when the day comes that I finally catch up on scrapbooking (I'm 5 years behind!), I'll have that in there.

My 5 year old used to come to us all the time with a book when she was younger and ask us to "bookame" which meant that she wanted us to read a book to her.

Now my 3 year old daughter is transfixed on boobies right now and when our school principal asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she told him "A barbie with big boobies"

When my youngest likes something, she will come to me and say "Mommy, this is soooo much good!"

Stacie, I think it's the age because my littlest one is 4 and I'm dealing with the same thing.. lol.

Some of the things our DS said have become family lingo. That thing that rotates and waters the lawn? It's a Binker. The mild green fruit that you mash for guacamole? It's an Abacado. You want a story read to you? Say, "READ me!"

DS's DS played Candyland with Grandma and Grandpa recently. (He is 3 1/2.) Throughout the game he'd repeat his 'mantra': Whoever wins, wins. Actually he did win, fair and square, but he was totally *prepared* on how to handle it if he didn't.

I still remember something my DD said when she was four. She came running into the house, yelling that there was a prime minister in the back yard. Not quite.....it was a praying mantis.

Oh there are so many, but as per usual I can only remember a few..

Claire used to say "prettyful" as in, "Don't I look prettyful today?" When she was 3 she would gently nudge you with a mean look on her face and say, "Did you like-a dat?"

And when we would ask Annie to do something when she was 2 and a half she'd shout, "No! Never!" It was kind of hilarious although it never worked for her. She also called an elevator an "alligator" for a long time.

I was babysitting my 3 year old niece one day while her mom (my sister) worked. It was my sister's wedding anniversary so all day I was telling my niece that when Mommy came home to say "Happy Anniversary" to her. We practiced all day. The minute my sister walked in the door my niece ran to the door and shouted "Happy Dishwasher!". LOL

asked my dgd if she had see the inaugration(she was home sick)..she replied yes..then she asked me if i had voted for pres obama, i replied yes, she then says i didn't, why did you vote for him? i said it was because i thought he was the best person for the job...i got a "oh"...i got such a kick over having a political discussion with a 6 yo, lol...
