NEW: 4 - winds round robin

WELCOME all

I would like to start a new robin, actually its 4 robins in one.

thats why I am calling it the 4 winds robin, I am hoping that this will mean

that it won't take as long for everyone to get it.Each box will circulate a

different coast,Each box will leave home to it's first destination healthy

so that the first person on the list will have a good selection to choose from

as the others do. Also each person will receive a small Thank You gift from me

after sending the robin on to the next person, my way of showing my appreciation

for you. If you would like to join sign up and email me for details

ok sent out mellens and earthys questionares to everyone. Mailed them in two different ways - forwarded and in the big word document. Only received an error message for veeje on 2 so far. Now everyone should have everyone's questionares. All books should be mailed out by now. Moving on to March - Feel free to pick your partner baised on things you have that you think they would want baised on the questionares. PLEASE POST who you want as there have been so many problems with emails. I will be making a new thread soon as this one is filling up. I will name it MARCH collectors Corner please post there and I will go and add each person who listed on this thread to that thread when I get the extra time (not today though)... Melinda as for your quest5ion. And by collections do you go by the question of things they collect on the questionnaire or the type of flowers they collect or what? MY REPLY: I don't know how you can send flowers with it being so cold, but if you want you can send an IOU or something like that for the spring. Otherwise - try to go off what they have on their questioinares or even on their gardenweb pages. Just do the best you can. However I know that some people don't have much listed on their questionares so I don't know what to do about that. Glad everyone is enjoying your books!

A Navajo Star Myth Coyote According tho the Navajo mythology, the Milky Way was created by the misbehavior of the mischievous deity, Coyote. When the world was created, the Holy People gathered around Black God to place the stars in the sky according to a rational order related to the seasons. But Coyote grew annoyed by the slowness of the creation process. He first chose with anger a red star, called Ma'iio, that he placed in the south to symbolize himself. Ma'iio is a name often given to Coyote, which means 'the one who roams'. This star, of which we do not know the precise identification, appears for only a short period of time during the year, and it is said to announce trouble. Thereafter, Coyote took the bag full of stars not yet placed and threw it over his head forming the Milky Way. Since the stars of the Milky Way could not be properly placed, they could not be named. Coyote was a trickster, and would often use this to get what he wanted. In one story, Coyote turned a hero into a coyote, and in turn became the man. He went to the hero's home and slept with his wife. Coyote smelled very bad. When the wife visited her mother, she smelled the Coyote on the wife. They then knew that Coyote had tricked them. In yet another story, Coyote falls in love with a beautiful woman. In order to marry her, he had to kill the giant, Gray Big Ye'i. Afterwards, the woman attempts to kill Coyote four times, but each time he hides his vital organs so he could come back to life. The woman eventually marries him. Later we find that coyote is killed while hunting with the wife's brothers. Coyote's wife turns into a bear and kills all but one of the brothers. The last brother kills her, and brings his brothers back to life. This story explains why bears are often considered the female counterparts of coyotes. Kathy

Hi Everyone First I truly apologize for dropping the ball. I should have been a better host or reached out to see if there was someone else who could host while I couldn't. As things kept happening in my life, I kept thinking, it's just this one thing or once we get over this crisis, I'll have time to get back to everything again. And it just hasn't stopped. Not as an excuse but only for explanation, the last few weeks have been a turmoil with my grandmother in & out of a coma, my parents possibly getting a divorce, and my own job up in the air. It's still not over, but things have calmed down enough to come back to this. In the last couple weeks, I did try to contact Peggy (pdsavage) a few times with no response. I also know that Sherri tried to contact her to confirm receipt of the box, again with no response. At this point, I'm assuming that the box & Peggy are long gone, which is sad & disappointing since this was supposed to be a friendly swap. For my part, I'm sure that many of you are also disappointed with me & my lack of attention to this RR. Please believe me that it was not because I didn't care & I really feel so sorry that it's ended up this way. Anyway, for now, I think I cannot continue to host this. I know a lot of you lost many valuable seeds & cuttings as well as time & money & trust. Again I'm so sorry for that, & will contact you individually about it. well everyone there is 15 more days to sign up for this robin,i have has alot of response! just want everyone to know that the questions i asked in the info i sent will go no further than me!! i really want everyone to have fun with this robin...come on west coast not many have signed up for the west coast robin...i've been busy getting seeds and things ready for the robins to take flight...
i guess i need to get back

HEY EVERYONE
JUST WANTED TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE BUMPS TO KEEP THIS ON THE FIRST PAGE I AM SO SORRY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN KEEPING UP BUT MY YOUNGEST SON HAS BEEN IN ICU SINCE LAST WENSEDAY SO I HAVE NO BEEN HERE AT THE HOUSE, NOW THAT HE IS IN A REGULAR ROOM AND DO TO BE RELEASED IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS I CAN RELAX A LITTLE, PLEASE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN HUG THEM CLOSE AND BE GLAD THAT YOU HAVE THEM BECAUSE YOU JUST DON'T REALISE HOW FAST YOU CAN LOOSE THEM OR COME CLOSE TO LOSING THEM! I WILL START GETTING EVERYTHING READY TO MAIL THE ROBIN OUT THIS WEEK AND WILL POST THE MAILING ORDERS FOR ALL 4 ROBINS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

Please take all the time you need. Had a scare myself yesterday--12 YODD was holding 8 month old DD and fell down basement stairs. Never been so scared in all my life. When all was checked out all we have is a bumped or sprained ankle. Got very lucky. Feel like I'm a 200 years old today--moving so slow.

I do not mind waiting to start this robin until your son is safe and sound and you feel like to you time to devote to robins. IMHO taking care of family is far more important than seeds. I do not mind waiting and others here may agree.
