Patricia Pup looked the same (stretched; too light in color closer to stem) because it was shaded - by mother plant, another plant or generally not enough light. Here is photo of some pups (they are still attached to mother plant - I usually wait until they are bigger; there are other pups growing from the soil) - not same plant as yours, this is a hybrid of A. aristata. But look how tight the growth is:Little of peat will not hurt it, but is there a % of ingredients listed? Often it isn't, and usually ingredient that is listed first is the one in larger amounts...There is also sand listed, and wetting agents. Most of us avoid these. BUT, unfortunately, that is how C&S mixes are usually sold. Sand, unless it is really gritty (and more grit than sand), may compact and impair drainage. Wetting agents will keep soil moist longer than necessary for succulents. So generally, these ingredients are not something I would recommend. BUT - you could still use some of it if you want, with generous addition of coarse perlite for example. If you get a bag of perlite, sift or rinse it (to get rid of dust and smallest particles), mix it minimum 50/50 with C&S soil. It could be even more perlite (60%, or even 70%). Perlite is very light & some ppl don't like it because it will 'fly' if windy, but I use it a lot and it provides very good drainage. You could always put a thin layer of grit or small pebbles on top to keep it in the pot. Or use pumice if you can get it easy and inexpensively. For watering, you can use a bamboo skewer or chopstick: insert at least 3/4 deep into pot, just for few min. If dry and clean when you take it out - mix is dry and you can water. If it comes out damp/cold, and may have some soil particles ticking to it there is still plenty of moisture and do not water yet. Introduce plant slowly into much better light. I do not see reason to take it out of good light; may I ask what is your reason for doing that?

This is a lovely room! In a small space continuity is important. Before you add or paint anything else, paint the daybed and both chairs a dark brown, British Colonial as mentioned above. This way you can add the color you want here and there. The table in front of the daybed needs to be higher, like a tea table height. Use the chest on the side. To make the daybed more comfy, add old fashioned wedge pillows across the back and then the big pillows on top. Well it looks like it's Apple Maggot. Are there better nematodes than others? Or is a nematode is a nematode is a nematode? Then some of the Orchard spray and kaolin spray when it flowers next year.

Here's the little square swatch on top of the counter. We definitely aren't afraid of using color or repainting, but cabinets is a lot of work so we will probably just continue the Medici Ivory trim paint over most of the kitchen and reserve a muted olive for the island as an accent only.
