Wow... I just had to post and say that Gardenweb is really an amazing community! I posted this orignal post last year, and of course I didn't write down the answer, so I had forgotten by now what my rose was! I didn't figure the post would still be around, but I did a seach anyway, and LOOKIE HERE! I'm so excited to refind this post. Thanks so much to everyone who answered me last year!!!

Flower shape and foliage looks like 'Dr Huey'. There are alot of these in Seattle area because of grafted roses having failed, been replaced by 'Dr Huey' rootstock.

If it has a strong frangrance could be Paul McCartney rose.

These roses were actually sold by a small sidewalk vendor who bought them from a friend who bought them from a florist who bought them from one of the cut flower farmers somewhere in Baguio City, Philippines. As you can see, the vendor herself or her friend or the florist or the contract farmers don't have any idea. She just calls them big 'pink'roses and big 'white' roses. I would really appreciate an ID from others even just a guess as I like to know the names of the roses I buy. I buy these same roses for my vases 1 to 2 times a week so I would really like to know what their names are, having lived with them for years. tropical
