Tiny black blossoms

Hey all,

I've been reading these forums for awhile now, and have usually been able to find answers to any of my questions by just reading all the posts here, but I stumped on this one.

I've been trying to grow pablano(I know, not very hot at all) plants, but am having issues with the blossoms. I was getting blossoms regularly but they were falling off, which was depressing but not too alarming. Now, however when the buds/blossoms first start to grow they turn black and fall off a day later. They are very small when this happens. This is happening to all the blossoms.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

im having the same problem with my bhut jolokia and a couple other super hots

Flower drop probable causes:

1. Day temp too high >95F
2. Night temp too low 3. Too much nitrogen fertilizer
4. Too much water
5. Low light levels (reduces fertility).
6. Very low humidity (reduces fertility)
7. Poor air circulation (air circulation contributes to pollination).
8. Lack of pollinating insects.
9. Size of pot
1. Too much mineral in feedwater.
2. Too much grower attention.

I don't Texas plants but I do know Scarlet Pimpernel and that's not it. The Galium family looks more likely to me. A larger picture would help a great deal.

Thanks, Al, for your answer. After sunset...? Well, I was kind of applying the reasoning that dictates we mow the lawn either in the early morning or the early evening and not at high noon. I suppose mowing the lawn and pruning blossom buds are best accomplished according to entirely different principles. Still, they both involve cutting...
