Ugh! Ants!

I have one potted Lemon Drop that ants have decided to set up shop in. No Aphids - just ants.

It was looking a little sad the other day and today was drooping. When I picked up the pot to feel the weight, there were ants everywhere. When I watered, they went nuts carrying eggs and evacuating the flood.

How do I get rid of them from nesting in the pot?

I sprayed the table/leg and outside of the pot with wasp spray and that took them out, but, I don't think that's a good idea on the plant itself or inside the pot.

Also, this plant is loaded with peppers, so, I don't really want to use anything that shouldn't be used on edibles.

Anyone have any ideas?
