Not palms but seems to belong here.

I know this is the palms forum but I see a lot of postings of other "zone pushed" plants. Glad to see that! My comments this time are about gardenias. OK so Kleims and Chuck Hayes are old news and most people have not had success in zone 6 despite the nursery hype. So let's turn the page and discuss "Frostproof" and "Diamond's Fragrant Delight". These are supposed to be the hardiest to date. I have a Frostproof planted out last spring which has made nice growth and will endure it's first winter soon. It's against a south facing stone wall and I plan to mulch lightly and lean an old window against the wall to protect and warm slightly. Yesterday I bought a Diamond's, which will winter in a pot in an unheated sunroom. Surprised by it's HUGE leaves! Didn't recognize it as a gardenia at all and I walked right by it in the greenhouse the first time! Anyone have any success (or failures) with either of these?
