What is this white bug and how do I get rid of it?

Does anyone know what this bug is and how I get rid of it?

That would be a mealybug, unfortunately. I assume that this infestation is on your indoor plants?

My favorite method is to mist the plants with a solution of one part rubbing alcohol to three parts water. This will not only get the large ones, but the babies that you haven't even noticed yet. The spray can also get into the nooks and crannies. A Q-tip soaked with alcohol is a time tested method to get rid of adults. But you'll miss a zillion of the babies.

Alcohol is safe on most indoor plants...if the leaves are very sensitive, fragile, fuzzy, etc....you should probably avoid it. I've used it for many years and have never harmed a plant.

That is a picture of the female. The males have wings. Honestly, if the plant isn't hard to find, throw it out and get a new one. It will just spread to your other plants if it hasn't already.

Leaf-footed bug nymphs, a relative of stinkbugs. Yes, the neem oil will help control these nymphs. They are likely to stop feeding, AND the neem also acts as a growth regulator. You'll not see much of a 'knock down' effect from the neem but its effects are more long lasting. The insecticidal soap would probably help control these babies, too. With the neem, be sure to get good coverage of the foliage. The insecticidal soap has to come into direct contact with the pest.

I let mine hang around for a while, but i wanted to collect seed this year... and these guys suck sap (i assume) since the seed heads wither. I just did the soapy bucket below and knock the stem... and they fall off for the most part. The small ones need some extra persuasion.

It's a really bad photo, but it looks like a leaf-footed bug. These are sucking pests--they suck juices from plants and fruits. They're not that big a deal on plants, normally, but they can blemish fruits. The easiest way to deal with them is to pick them off by hand and kill them or drop them into a container or soapy water to kill them. Wear gloves because, like stink bugs, they exude an unpleasant-smelling liquid when you bother them.
