There's a possibility that changing the photo size affects the orientation. The last time I included pics in my initial post, I selected "medium" when prompted and those pics, which were not sideways when I selected them, posted sideways. When I posted additional pictures in the same discussion I either ignored the prompt or selected "original size" (sorry I don't recall precisely what I did) and the photos didn't reorient. Seems worth a try. That said, I have also had the same experience that floral_uk described, though not recently.

What's going on? None at all for days on my android phone and taking many tries and maybe one will post on my desktop.

Oh, no! Seagrass, come back! I don't understand why they won't let you just put your name in. Maybe you could put another name, that isn't the Houzz number, and sit with it for a day or two, and if it sticks, try to Seagrass again? I can help you with the pictures. Basically, if you have a picture in your computer or other device, you can use the "Photo" button, and browse your photos, find the right one, select it and have it upload automatically. In a mobile device, you have to save to your photos an internet picture or take a screen shot of it, then upload it the same way. On a computer you can sometimes paste the URL into the photo upload dialog box where the name of the photo goes, and it'll sort of temporarily save to your computer and upload it automatically, which saves you having to save it first. Some websites don't want you using their pictures this way and prevent it for working off their URL. Don't do any of this with pictures you're unsure if. Nasty stuff can hide in pictures. Taking a screen shot, trimming and saving it is safer. If you need more specific help, just ask.

Sea Sea - are your photos JPG format or HEIC? I've had iPhones for 8 years and my photos were always saved in a JPG format . Then in one of their updates Apple switched from JPG to HEIC - which was some kind of High Efficiency Image File format. Initially I didn't have any problems with sharing them or uploading them. But last summer several people told me that they couldn't open my photos. So I went into my phone settings and switched back to JPG - that solved my problems. And when I got my iPhone 12 Pro I made sure the photos were saved in JPG. Except I now have 3 years of photos in the HEIC format - and I need to figure out an easy way to convert them. Maire
