Invasion of the Cucumber Beetles!

I have so many of the Spotted Cucumber Beetle in the garden right now, it's not funny - not funny at all! They are eating my flowers like crazy. What I am concerned about is them wintering over in plant debris. I usually don't do cleanup until spring, because I have a lot of overwintering moth and butterfly caterpillars and chrysalises. So I am having to weigh the consequences of not cleaning up versus cleaning up. Ugh!!! Why isn't gardening easy?????

I don't use chemicals of any kind, so is their a kinder, gentler way to deal with these pests? They literally shred my flowers to pieces, and while I squish every single one I find, there are literally hundreds more. Help!!!
