The peaches are oozing gum. The most common reason is you have oriental fruit moth in the fruits. Peaches with plum curculio also can ooze, but not big quantities like OFM damaged peaches. Cut open some of the oozing fruits and look for a white worm and a trail inside. Sometimes peaches ooze because there is a physical injury or problem with how the fruit grew, and lots of rain can cause them to ooze in those spots. The stuff on the leaves probably fell off some fruits. Scott

Ornamental cherries and the rest of the prunus family are subject to a host of insect pests, especially borers, and many other maladies. It's really pretty rare to see one as large as yours because of they are relatively short lived trees in addition to their other problems. A tree service company is probably your best course. Don't be surprised, though, if they recommend removal rather than treatment.

Please stay with me; take time to thoroughly digest each step to learn what occurred. It goes like this: 1. The diagnosis for your cherry tree is most likely aphids on the undersides of the cherry leaves. Those aphids were drinking plant sap and excreting the excess that they didn't need. That excess excreted sap is called honeydew. It's clear and it's sticky. 3. Then, a mold that's ever-present in the air, landed on the sticky stuff, fed on it, then produced the sooty mold (the black stuff) on the leaves. No way was that stuff black spot! Ladybugs, both adults and youngsters feed on aphids. The thing stuck on the leaf was a pupa as was already explained. Please don't try to scrape them loose as you may damage them and end up with a deformed ladybug rather than a healthy one. So, in the future, when you see similar curled leaves, please unroll them and look at what's inside the curls. Aphids, Lots and lots. Often very small. The best & safest remedy: Keep alert for curled leaves, then wash off the aphids. Insecticide sprays likely won't work because they are well protected within the curled leaves. The insects in pics 2&3 look like giant bark aphids, Longistigma caryae. They don't normally infest cherries but perhaps the tree is stressed for another reason and is just vulnerable to insect predation. Typically any sort of garden treatment for aphids will control these pests - a strong steam of water, hort oil, neem oil, insecticidal soap, etc. I can't see the raised brown lesions well enough to determine if they are more than just normal cherry bark lenticels, although they look a bit too regularly spaced for lenticels. Is there any sign of a sawdust-looking substance at the base of the tree or hanging from any of these lesions? That could indicate borers, a common cherry issue. Is the tree otherwise healthy? Good foliage development, proper flowering, no stem or tip dieback? Black knot usually presents in the branches first and moves down into the trunk when the disease is well established. Any swollen, blackened nodes in visible in the branches?
