I want to grow some hard to grow peppers .

list em so i can get them and see if i can work my magic...

Capsicum Tovarii
Capsicum Galapagoense
Capsicum Lanceolatum
Capsicum Eximium

Finding seeds is EXTREMELY difficult for most though.

Cap 1530 C. cardinasii up today after 37 days! Guess that makes it an easy one. I think only been able to germinate 1 C. galapagoense several years back and that sprout needed surgery to survive.

When every other tree/plant in your little yard gets squished over to one side to make sure the plumerias have plenty of room to stretch out and sun. Bill, when you figure out how to get rid of your neighbor's tree (without getting busted) let me know. My neighbor has a huge ficus that is blocking the sun and dropping some real annoying seed things all over my yard. Vivian

Got that one to come up around 25-30 days I believe. It causes me major issues with yellowing of the leaves. I tried four time and each time I am experiencing same symptoms. Yellow forms on outside of leaves in a halo.

22 -25 days for me. I looked at a picture and saw some yellowing of the leaf tips but I don't remember it being a big problem.

I planted only 4 seeds (Cap 1530) & the 1st one sprouted in 22 days with stuck seed cap that didn't survive surgery. The yellow 'halo' rings a bell. Think have seen in the past on tomato plants and was a fungus. Don't quote me though.

Sowed 6 seeds of Rocoto Cuencano and so far a no show after 37 days.

Shayne,

C. cardinasii and C. eximium will cross with C. pubescens and is why some of us are growing. Once that is accomplished we could possibly cross the offspring with other species.

Rocopica--cross between C. carenasii and C. pubescens. The pods are small but thick walled like a pubescens

And the blossom in your picture looks like a 1st year C. pubescens of many varieties. The pod shape is familiar too.
